The Kazakhstan–EU Gateway is pleased to announce the inauguration of a new platform designed to strengthen and expand cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union. The initiative aims to foster deeper dialogue, support strategic collaboration, and highlight emerging opportunities—particularly in the field of critical raw materials.
The launch event will bring together representatives of EU institutions, the diplomatic community, international organisations, academia, and industry. Participants will exchange perspectives on future avenues for partnership, with a special focus on sustainable resource development and energy security.
Keynote Speakers
The programme will open with a plenary session followed by a panel discussion featuring prominent experts, including:
• Mr. Sairan Baizhakhanov — Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the EU
• Dr. Peter Tom Jones — Director, KU Leuven Institute for Sustainable Metals and Minerals
• Mr. John M. Roberts — Senior Fellow, Atlantic Council; Member, UNECE Group of Experts on Gas
