Representatives of Kazakhstan–EU Gateway took part in a high-level diplomatic reception held in Brussels on 12 January 2025, which brought together diplomats, policymakers, international experts, and representatives of international organizations.
The reception was organized with the participation of Diplomatic World on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and took place at Hotel Amigo, one of Brussels’ key venues for international diplomatic events. The gathering served as a platform for dialogue on global political and economic developments, the role of diplomacy in a rapidly changing international environment, and the importance of multilateral cooperation.

The reception was also attended by Herman Van Rompuy, former Prime Minister of Belgium and the first permanent President of the European Council (2009–2014). His participation underscored the high-level nature of the event and its relevance for European and international diplomatic engagement.

Discussions during the reception focused on strengthening international dialogue, promoting cultural and public diplomacy, and enhancing cooperation between the European Union and its international partners. Particular attention was given to diplomacy as a tool for fostering peace, sustainable development, and mutual understanding across regions.

Participation in the reception enabled representatives of Kazakhstan–EU Gateway to engage with European and international counterparts, exchange perspectives on current geopolitical and economic trends, and reinforce dialogue between Kazakhstan and the European Union. The event also provided opportunities for networking and exploring new avenues for cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields.
Such diplomatic receptions play an important role in building trust, encouraging constructive engagement, and supporting long-term international partnerships. The participation of Kazakhstan–EU Gateway reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening Kazakhstan–EU relations and contributing to international dialogue platforms.
